F1 22 is one of my only video game regret purchases. Patches broke as much as they fixed, the handling is completely divorced from how actual F1 cars behave, and above all, it's just incredibly unfun. All the little problems combine to make for a miserable experience. It just gives you more management and customisation options, a bit like (a small part of) Football Manager and FIFA in the same game. Handling is "better" than F1 22 in the way that cars don't spin as crazy, force feedback is still a joke. ACC or GT7 do a way, way better job at telling you what the car is doing. It has its issues like every year but it's worth a month of EA Play at least. In single player you can always just use a flashback if the AI does something too stupid. Maybe the biggest issue is the low-speed traction and spinning. I use medium traction control to help with that. F1 22 feels like the driving mechanics were overhauled compared to 20/21. After getting super comfortable with the 20/21 style it took some adjusting to figure out 22. For example, Jeddah was way easier on 20/21 and now it feels probably like it should, a more difficult, tight turn, on the edge track.
